Cinderella unveiled at Innovation Day
If the shoe exposed at the Innovation Day could talk, it would have some strange stories to tell – especially about the large number of women that were delighted by it, picked it up and were intrigued about the shoe’s materials. There is one story, however, that would have probably remained untold: the story of those who said that the shoe was too big for Cinderella’s foot.
The truth is that INESC Porto wanted to innovate and upgrade Cinderella’s story. Men doing heavy work? No! Men are sensitive and they could get hurt. So, the person in charge of disassembling the booth was INESC Porto’s very own Cinderella! It would be alright to do it in high-heeled shoes, but it would be immoral if she had small feet.
The booth also caught the attention of illustrious people, such as Manuel Heitor, the Secretary of State for Science. You don’t know who he is? Don’t worry because our “Cinderella” didn’t know either. The size of the shoe was probably to blame. People couldn’t see clearly who was there and even famous people became unrecognizable…
With so much innovation, some people even though we were a pharmacy. In fact, an elderly lady, intrigued by the perfect brain at INESC Porto’s booth, asked the Institute’s opinion on the best brain medicine.
It is good to be innovative, but not that much!
