UESP organizes workshop on “Better practices in the Implementation of Information Systems”

On July 6, INESC Porto organized a workshop dedicated to “Better practices in the Implementation of Information Systems”, included in one of the activities of the INTERREG III B-SUDOE, R+D+I for PYMES.

The general purpose of these workshops is to alert the managers of Portuguese companies to the importance of innovation as well as to aid companies implant and manage innovation. In this case, the theme in question was Information Systems, showing a methodology used by INESC Porto for its implementation.

The workshop took place in INESC Porto’s auditorium between 2.30 and 6.30 p.m. Several speakers made their presentations: António Correia Alves introduced INESC Porto and the R+D+I project and showed us the implementation support structured methodology of IS used by INESC Porto; Américo Azevedo spoke about Information Systems and entrepreneurial competitiveness and Pedro Ferro, of DURIT company, introduced SADEP - the practical case that refers to the use of that methodology which is being implemented in this company.

The workshop involved around 50 people coming from several SMEs of the North Region, where the main studies of the R+D+I project are located.
