The project intends to build carbon fibre laminates (CFRP), with integrated optical fibre sensors which will allow the simultaneous reinforcement and monitorization of critical sections of structures. The high performance of this technique has been already proved in the reinforcement to flexion of concrete structures, but preliminary experiences showed that this performance could even be higher in the reinforcement to cutting.
