WalkinSense is the name of Tomorrow Option’s first product. The product was publicly presented for the first time on 21 April at INESC Porto’s auditorium.

The presentation was carried out by Paulo Ferreira dos Santos, Tomorrow Option’s CEO, and its aim was to provide the opportunity for the company to show the new product, not only to the collaborators from INESC Porto where Tomorrow Options in incubated, but also to the partners that have been following the product’s development and the company’s growth over the past year.

The CEO explained to the audience that WalkinSense is a practical and comfortable medical device that will be used to prevent diabetic foot disease and provide help for those who undergo treatment. At the same time, the device will measure the patients’ activity, the movements of the lower limbs and the weight distribution in each plantar surface. Therefore, the device will deeply change the daily life of people suffering from this disease.

At the end of the presentation, there was room for discussion where the audience asked many questions, proving to be quite interested in the product.

In fact, for Catarina Monteiro, Tomorrow Option’s marketing director, “the result was quite positive since, even though this presentation targeted the scientific community, a group of potential clients was present and proved to be quite interested in the product’s demonstration”.
WalkinSense will start being sold in 2008 and Tomorrow Options is currently also studying other projects, both in the area of medicine and environment.
