UOSE participates in Technological Day from CEMICRO

The Technological Day CEMICRO 2008 was organised in the context of the MicroManufacturing - CEMICRO Competence Network. Its Organising Committee integrates the Optoelectronics and Electronic Systems Unit (UOSE).

The meeting took place on 26 June 2008 in Marinha Grande where there were several theme sessions on the market of micro products and microtechnologies, state-of-the-art of micromanufacturing and microfabrication technologies, and the impact of the new nanomaterials on environment and health.

During the event and within the project, it was also possible to present and discuss study cases on the development of a lab-on-a-chip solution and an orthopedic screw based on microscaled materials and technologies. At the same time, the participants had the opportunity to discuss ideas and experiences.
