UESP supports Transnational Technology Transfer

INESC Porto participates in several technological brokerages organized by the Innovation Relay Centre, for the CPI Project (Portuguese Innovation Centre).

Last February, INESC Porto was present at the 3 GSM brokerage that took place in Barcelona, for the 3 GSM World. In March, they will participate in IRC Future Match 2007 brokerage, put together for the CEBIT Exhibition. Over 80 Portuguese technologies will be presented.

In these events, INESC Porto supports Portuguese companies during the process of preparation for the brokerage and, during the event, it supports Portuguese companies that cannot be present.

3 GSM World is the most important mobile telecommunications event in Europe and, in four days, it gathered over 55 thousand visitors from all over the world. The brokerage included 406 companies, telecommunications operators, systems integrators, applications suppliers, among other entities whose activity is related with Mobility, having presented 395 technological profiles.

For this event, INESC Porto, in partnership with ADI – Innovation Agency. mobilized 13 Portuguese companies that presented 28 technological profiles. These companies carried out more than 40 meetings with companies coming from Europe and Canada.

INESC Porto will also have an active participation in IRC Future Match 2007, the biggest technological brokerage event organized by this network that includes companies from all over Europe, offering excellent opportunities of promotion of technological products and identification of international business partnerships.

This brokerage is organized within CEBIT – International Fair for Information Technology, Telecommunication, Software and Services – taking place from 15 to 21 March. This fair has a history of more than 20 years and involves around 6300 exhibitors.

The number of Portuguese companies in this brokerage has been increasing substantially and this year we are expecting the presence of 37 companies including start-ups like IUZ Technologies or SMEs like Wide Scope, Primavera BSS, among others. 55 technological profiles will be presented.

IRC Future Match 2007 was organized for companies that work in the area of information technologies and for all those who intend to create a company or start an activity in this area. It’s an event that will surely give all the participants excellent business and international partnerships opportunities.
