Every year, ESA carries out a parabolic flight campaign for
120 students of the 17 state members to perform one of 30
experiments. Flights will be in an Airbus 300 especially
equipped for this kind of flights and they will take place
in the last week of August and in the first week of
September.
The researcher of the Optoelectronics and Electronic
Systems Unit (UOSE), Carla Rosa, as a teacher of the Physics
Department, is the tenderer of a successful application to
this year’s contest. Thus, four students guided by Carla
Rosa will test the transitions of gas and liquid phases
under zero gravity conditions.
Under these conditions, new and surprising effects arise.
Their theoretical description is yet unknown.
