Following previous work developed for EFACEC Electronic
Systems, a Portuguese manufacturer of DMS (Distribution
Management Systems), the power Systems Unit has been
preparing a new software module, which will be installed by
EFACEC in EDM – Electricity of Mozambique.
The new module’s goal is the optimized management of the
electricity generation, including the staging of the
generating groups and the economic dispatch considering the
constraints of the transmission network.
The operational responsibility of the project is ensured
by Jorge Pereira. The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit
of INESC Porto also participated in this development.
